Hi, I just came across your video and want to say that you seem like such a brave and strong person! With respect to your topic, I? think many of us were brainwashed into believing that black hair is not beautiful and as such refuse to be our natural selves. The truth is, we don't go natural, we go and get relaxers and the cycle continues but hopefully through videos like this and education we can return to our natural state. I had to subscribe and thanks for posting.

I know this video is old, but the short hair did suit you well. The black American community has a lot of deep-seated issues that have been instilled generation? after generation. CONT'D....growth. There are some self haters, but in my experience they are few and far between. Most black women I encounter just don't understand? natural hair because they've never encountred it & it's something different. It takes a lot courage to overcome something that's been engrained in you since you were child and is seen as something bad. So when I see a permed woman I don't see a self hater, I see a woman that's doing what she knows. I'm proud to say I'm natural. I overcame.
